Q&A with Matthew Pennycook MP
On Saturday morning, 16th January 2016, Matthew Pennycook kept his promise to the Society - having been unable to join us at the AGM in October because of the imposition of we three-live whip at the House of Commons - and presented himself to members to answer questions.
In a comprehensive presentation, Matthew covered everything from the real nature of the life of a new MP to his views on a very wide range of subjects - the licensing of Circus Field, the Silvertown Tunnel consultation, traffic in Greenwich, local housing, the new Housing Bill, energy, climate change and even the renewal of Trident.
Greenwich Society members were treated to an impressive performance by their MP; the range, reasons and explanations were comprehensive, illuminating and stimulating.
